International Office
Procedure
Upon receipt of your request, you will first receive a treatment proposal drawn up by the experts at Hahnemann Association, an estimate of the associated costs and a timetable for the implementation of the diagnostic and therapeutic measures. If these offers are accepted and you decide to undergo treatment, the procedure is as follows:
Appointments:
The International Office HA will coordinate all appointments with the attending physicians and, if necessary, with a specialized hospital / rehabilitation facility / sanatorium.
Visa:
If you require a medical visa for Germany, we will also be happy to support you here with an invitation. For this we need a copy of your passport and, if necessary, a copy of the passport of the person accompanying you. As the invitation must confirm that the treatment costs are covered, it can only be issued once the advance payment has been received. With our invitation, you will usually receive a visa without any complications.
Advance payment:
Before the start of treatment, the full amount of the cost estimate must be deposited in the specified Hahnemann Association account.
Travel medical insurance:
For persons traveling to Germany for medical treatment, as well as for accompanying relatives, the conclusion of a travel health insurance is required by law. Travel health insurance must be taken out in the home country, e.g. via the travel agency.
Travel preparation:
All medical documents, including X-rays, MRI, CT or tissue samples, must be brought along.
Patients who regularly take medication at home should also bring sufficient medication with them for the duration of their stay.
Cash or equivalent means of payment subject to notification:
If you are traveling with €10,000 or more, please remember to declare this to the customs office.
