Dear grassroots of Bündnis 90/DIE GRÜNEN,

We would like to draw your attention to the fact that your executive committee wants to ban homeopathy as a voluntary service provided by the health insurance funds and replace it with an optional tariff(https://www.aerztezeitung.de/Politik/Gruene-finden-Kompromiss-zu-Homoeopathie-412049.html), which in reality would mean the exclusion of homeopathy as part of health insurance, because an optional tariff is for the rich and healthy.

**What are we concerned about?

We make the following demands:

Implementation of the recommendations of the World Health Organization WHO from 2012 with special consideration of the "Global report on Traditional and Complementary Medicine - T&CM" published by the WHO in 2019.
Recognition and implementation of Traditional and Complementary Medicine T&CM in the state healthcare system in Germany.
Further development and recognition of appropriate study designs for research into the various proven T&CM therapy methods.
Causal orientation in research and treatments taking into account the individual bio-psycho-socio-diversities of people, environmental causes, biodiversity and a health policy based on sustainability**.

We are particularly committed to the following key areas:

The freedom of choice of therapy and practitioners.
The voting rights of patient representatives within the Federal Joint Committee G-BA.
Preservation of the pharmaceutical status and the promotion of the further development of medicinal products of the "special therapeutic indications", taking into account a special status for small and medium-sized enterprises**.
The consideration and consolidation of professorships and T&CM in medical studies, as well as the integration of T&CM into the training of healthcare professions.
The prevention and promotion of health literacy in the population should be based on root cause research involving T&CM in order to stabilize and improve the health of the population in the medium and long term.

What can you do?

Immediately inform your delegates of the Digital Party Conference next weekend from 20-22.11.2020 about this intention and its consequences for the citizenship and demand a clear commitment from Alliance 90/The Greens to "Traditional and Complementary Medicine" T&CM in accordance with the recommendations of the World Health Organization WHO (WHO report).
Ensure that genuine GREEN health policy is anchored in your basic program.
Remember your roots as an original grassroots democratic party and don't let anyone throw sand in your eyes.
